View evidence profile →Sender is a practical candidate for a small business that needs regular newsletters, signup forms and a manageable set of automated messages. The first buying check is simple: does the real sending schedule fit both the subscriber allowance and the email allowance?
Its Free Forever plan advertises 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails per month, with Sender branding. A new account's 14-day Professional trial is a separate benefit, not a promise that every trial feature remains free. More importantly, deleting a recipient does not necessarily erase that address from the month's subscriber-limit calculation.
> Distinctive strength: A recurring free allowance covers newsletters. > > Where it stops being an advantage: Unique recipients can exhaust the audience limit.
We checked official documentation and selected public pricing controls on 17 October 2026. No account was created, campaign sent or delivery performance measured for this profile.
| Situation | What to verify |
|---|---|
| One operator sends a weekly newsletter | Calculate campaigns plus automated messages against both limits. |
| Branding must match a client or business | Confirm the paid branding-removal boundary. |
| Several people prepare and approve campaigns | Price the required role-based seats, not just emails. |
| Subscribers are added and removed frequently | Check monthly unique recipients as well as the active list. |
| Store events drive complex customer journeys | Verify each required trigger and exit; compare ecommerce-focused alternatives. |
This is not a recommendation to move a working email program just because a free allowance is larger. The useful comparison includes forms, data quality, operator work, permissions and the cost of maintaining the journeys you already use.
The public page separates Free Forever, Standard, Professional and a custom Enterprise plan. In the observed USD, Monthly Billing, 500-subscriber selection, Standard was $9/month with 6,000 emails; Professional was $15/month with 12,000. Those are entry-band observations, not paid quotes for 2,500 or 10,000 subscribers. Confirm VAT, billing cadence and the selected audience before paying.
Free Forever includes one seat and Sender branding. Standard lists three role-based seats and branding removal; Professional lists ten seats and additional automation/support features. The plan comparison expresses monthly paid send allowances as 12 times the selected subscriber count for Standard and 24 times for Professional. A feature being advertised on a paid tier does not establish that an unrelated integration or migration task is included.
The free tier can have a larger contact allowance than an entry paid band because paid features and audience volume are different dimensions. Comparing $9 at 500 subscribers against a free example at 2,500 without stating the audience would hide that distinction.
Sender's active-versus-unique documentation ↗ describes:
Both must remain within the plan's subscriber limit. Replacing a batch of recipients with a new batch during the same month therefore does not reset the unique-recipient count. Use suppression and deletion for legitimate data-management reasons, not as an assumed way to rotate more people through a smaller plan.
The same caution matters during migration. An apparently small active list can still produce a larger count of people emailed over the full month.
Assume the business has 2,500 total recipients during the month, and 200 of them are also the welcome-flow cohort. The 200 are included in the 2,500, not additional people.
| Work | Calculation | Emails |
|---|---|---|
| Four campaigns | 2,500 × 4 | 10,000 |
| Three welcome messages | 200 × 3 | 600 |
| Monthly total | 10,000 + 600 | 10,600 |
| Unused free send allowance | 15,000 − 10,600 | 4,400 |
This basket fits the advertised free volume allowances under those assumptions. It does not establish that every desired feature is free or that the business has room for another subscriber. If the 200 welcome recipients are instead additional to the initial 2,500, the audience becomes 2,700 and fails the free subscriber limit even though 10,600 emails would remain below 15,000.
At 10,000 selected subscribers, the advertised multipliers would correspond to 120,000 Standard or 240,000 Professional emails. We have not confirmed the subscription price for those bands, so the worksheet does not invent one. Obtain the current selected quote before comparing total costs.
The downloadable worksheet retains these assumptions. Use the email cost guide to add migration and staff time; the existing calculator has not been extended with a new Sender pricing dataset.
Sender provides a migration help section ↗, and its site advertises migration assistance. Neither tells you that every asset in your current account will be reconstructed automatically. Ask for the actual scope if assistance is a condition of purchase.
Prepare a field map for addresses, consent source, consent timing, suppression status and the properties used by your segments. Separate those records from campaign statistics that may not transfer in a comparable form. Importing an address is not evidence of permission to market to it.
Then inventory the work around the list: signup forms embedded on the site, landing-page links, authentication settings, automation entry/exit conditions and messages already scheduled in the old system. Test one form and one journey before switching every entry point.
A useful handoff record says what was copied, what was rebuilt and what remains unavailable. Keep the export and permission evidence under appropriate access controls. Use the migration checklist for the wider process, including rollback planning and post-move reconciliation.
Sender's privacy policy ↗ describes its processor role for customer subscriber data and separate processing of account information. That statement does not certify a business's own legal basis or the suitability of its proposed import. Confirm the applicable DPA, subprocessors, transfer arrangements, retention/deletion process and operator permissions before using real customer data.
No inbox-placement test was performed for this profile. Authentication, list quality, message content and recipient behavior need their own assessment. Treat revenue and delivery marketing claims as vendor claims, not an expected result of migration.
The source set also does not establish a specific buyer's contractual SLA, guaranteed refund entitlement or complete history export. If any of those is a hard requirement, resolve it before payment rather than assuming a larger plan supplies it automatically.
Read MailerLite alongside Sender for newsletters, forms and smaller-business email operations. Moosend is another automation-oriented comparison point. Klaviyo and Drip are more relevant when store events and customer lifecycle rules dominate the decision. Their price units and billable populations differ; an entry-price table cannot normalize them on its own.
For the buyer's own permitted pilot, start with test records representing a subscriber, an unsubscribe, a bounced address and someone entering a welcome sequence. Write expected exclusions before checking the workflow. Confirm that the operator can explain each condition, export the required records and reconcile active versus unique recipients. Use ordinary trial conditions and review the applicable terms; this profile reports no completed product trial.
Track accepted messages, correction time, operator time and the chosen plan's real counters. A sensible success criterion is that the business can safely maintain its weekly program at a known cost. A low price cannot compensate for a journey that nobody understands or permission history that cannot be reconciled.
