Moosend vs Brevo

A practical, evidence-led decision guide. Product capabilities and limits are separated from anything that would require hands-on testing.

A large list can still send very little email. That makes Moosend versus Brevo a useful comparison for a business whose contact database and campaign calendar grow at different speeds.

Evaluate Moosend for a campaign-and-automation workflow where frequent sending makes contact-tier pricing worth investigating. Evaluate Brevo when monthly send volume and separate marketing or transactional requirements deserve closer attention. This is not a claim that Brevo always costs less for a large database or that Moosend includes every type of message without limits.

The decision requires the same permission-eligible audience, campaign frequency, automation and seats on both quotes. BenPicks has not run a deliverability contest or measured which product creates more sales.

Two calendars for the same audience

Our hypothetical business has 20,000 eligible subscribers, including 800 new people. Two full-list campaigns require 40,000 sends. A four-message welcome sequence for the 800 new people adds 3,200, assuming all messages fall within the month. The total is 43,200.

Eight campaigns against the same list require 160,000 sends, or 163,200 including that welcome sequence. The difference is 120,000 sends without adding a single subscriber. This is why quoting only “20,000 contacts” leaves much of the buying question unanswered.

A separate segment of 4,000 people receiving two additional messages adds 8,000, bringing the busier example to 171,200. We assume those are extra campaigns, not messages already counted in the full-list schedule. Otherwise the calculation would double-count them.

These are original arithmetic scenarios, not actual campaign results. Download the assumptions and formulas or use the email cost calculator to change the workload.

Moosend's documented Pro positioning includes unlimited campaign sends, but that does not establish unlimited transactional email, every add-on or unrestricted use. Contact counting and subscriber growth can still alter the bill. Brevo's public pricing separates plans and send allowances; verify stored contacts and automation eligibility too, rather than treating the send number as the only constraint.

Brevo's current FAQ describes a free limit of 300 emails daily after sending approval. A 20,000-person full-list campaign would require 67 daily allocations if spread at that maximum, since 66 allocations cover only 19,800 recipients. That is an arithmetic illustration of an unsuitable daily cap, not a recommended campaign schedule or a delivery guarantee.

We have not confirmed a current checkout total for either 20,000-person scenario. Default entry prices are not quotes for this audience. The public Moosend pricing capture was unavailable during this check; the campaign-send boundary is reused from the documented published comparison, without inventing a new tier price. Confirm currency, billing term, tax, renewal and the exact plan before paying.

What changes if transactional email matters?

An order receipt and a promotional newsletter serve different purposes. Establish the relevant provider product and operational setup separately; do not move an unsubscribed person back into marketing because a transactional address exists. Preserve suppression history and verify the intended integration before migration.

Compare the full replacement cost if another service already sends receipts. Consolidation can be useful, but it can also create a new dependency without removing a subscription. For a smaller newsletter-focused choice, MailerLite vs Moosend asks a narrower question.

Choose Moosend if its verified contact tier, automation and campaign rules fit the busier calendar at an acceptable total cost. Choose Brevo if its verified send allowance and required channels fit better. Stay with the existing provider when neither candidate removes a material problem.
