Good fit if

You can prove workflow value

  • The editor reduces research or revision time on a real assignment.
  • The recommendations improve coverage without encouraging repetition.
  • Your team can measure approved output, correction time and total cost.

Look elsewhere if

You only want a score

  • You cannot explain how recommendations affect publishing decisions.
  • Your volume does not justify a recurring subscription.
  • You need independently proven ranking or output-quality gains.

Open the complete RankIQ buying analysisRankIQ-to-Aided transition · promotional bundle · curated keyword evidence · multi-LLM boundaries · outcome-claim discipline

RankIQ now presents a more complicated purchase than its familiar “SEO tool for bloggers” label suggests. The official site says RankIQ has evolved into Aided. Active RankIQ subscribers retain access to RankIQ, while the current offer combines RankIQ's curated keyword research and optimizer with Aided's generation, repurposing, social, email and multi-LLM workspace.

> Distinctive strength: RankIQ's curated keyword research and optimizer are now paired with Aided's broader generation and repurposing workspace for solo publishers. > > Where it stops being an advantage: The bundle combines two adoption decisions and a low lifetime-style price does not prove research quality or platform continuity.

That combination may be attractive for a solo publisher, but it creates two decisions. First: does RankIQ's curated research outperform the publisher's current topic-selection and update process? Second: does Aided reduce production work without introducing factual, brand, privacy or portability costs? A low bundle price cannot answer either question.

BenPicks has not used a paid RankIQ or Aided account for this profile. The analysis uses current official product pages, terms, privacy material and disclosed vendor studies. It does not convert optimization grades, selected testimonials or vendor traffic comparisons into an outcome verdict.

Is RankIQ still a separate product?

Yes, according to the current vendor presentation—but it is sold in a new context. RankIQ's official site says the product “has evolved into Aided” and tells active members they receive access to both platforms. RankIQ remains the research and content-grading component. Aided is the newer production layer for blog packages, GEO/AEO/SEO work, social posts, emails and a shared interface for several LLM brands.

This distinction matters. A RankIQ keyword recommendation can be evaluated against a live SERP and a retained control set. An Aided draft needs a different test: source survival, factual error rate, editorial correction, brand fidelity and disclosure. Combining the subscriptions does not combine their evidence.

There is also an unrelated Shopify app called “RankIQ - SEO & AEO Optimizer.” It is not the Gailleon, LLC blogging product reviewed here. Check the domain and operator when reading app listings or third-party comparisons.

What does RankIQ cost now?

The landing page advertises RankIQ plus Aided's Unlimited Plan for $49. It compares that offer with stated rates of $99 for RankIQ and $299 for Aided. Those are vendor comparison rates, not proof that every buyer saves $349 or would have bought both products separately.

RankIQ's terms state monthly billing and cancellation at any time. A separate official subscription-change page offers two months free for switching to yearly billing. The public material reviewed did not clearly establish whether the current $49 is introductory, how it renews, what is prorated, or exactly which RankIQ reports and Aided model usage are included.

Treat the checkout screen as part of the contract. Save the product names, cadence, renewal amount, taxes, report limits and cancellation language before paying. If the $49 rate changes after an introductory period, calculate the first-year and second-year cost separately. Do not use the 87% promotional percentage as a substitute for an entitlement schedule.

Is RankIQ's keyword library the real differentiator?

RankIQ says its team hand-picks lower-competition, higher-traffic-potential phrases and organizes them by major blog niche. That is materially different from a generic keyword database: a human selection layer may remove noise and help a small publisher choose what to write next.

The same curation introduces questions. How recent is each phrase? Which niches receive frequent updates? What sites and authority levels shaped the selection? Does an estimated “time to rank” survive a current SERP dominated by brands, forums, local results or product pages? The official testimonials page describes useful filters, but those descriptions and customer outcomes are selected user reports rather than a product specification.

Export or record a sample of 50 library opportunities across the niches you actually publish. On the same day, inspect the live results, intent, dominant page type, freshness and brand strength. Include ten phrases the library prioritizes and ten controls your existing process would choose. A reviewer who cannot see the source should decide which group contains more publishable opportunities. Curation earns its subscription only if it improves that decision.

What does the content optimizer establish?

RankIQ analyzes leading results and recommends terms, questions, word-count guidance, titles and an optimization grade. It is designed for new posts and for refreshing underperforming existing content. The official site also describes a top-30 SERP analysis for title language.

These recommendations describe patterns in current results. They do not prove that adding every term will improve a page. Search results can reflect brand authority, backlinks, freshness, product fit, local intent and SERP features that a content grade cannot capture. Blindly satisfying a term list can also make an article repetitive or indistinguishable from competitors.

Test five new posts and five decaying posts. Preserve the original draft, recommendation set and revised version. Ask an editor to remove terms that are irrelevant, unsupported or inserted only for a score. Measure useful questions discovered, factual corrections required, edit time and whether the final page answers the visitor's decision better. A higher grade is not the success criterion.

What does Aided add to the purchase?

Aided advertises one-click packages containing a blog post, GEO/AEO/SEO treatment, social assets and an email promotion. It can turn a supplied blog URL into channel-specific posts and provides saved prompts, audiences, brand voices and an on-demand prompt-engineering control.

It also advertises access to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity in one interface. Brand names alone do not tell a buyer the exact model version, context window, provider route, retention policy or throughput. “Unlimited” does not establish that every model and workflow has no fair-use or service constraint.

During evaluation, capture the displayed model, prompt, sources, output and edits. Run the same retained brief through the intended Aided workflow and the team's existing process. Blind-grade factual accuracy, source support, omission, voice and channel suitability. Count correction time separately from generation time. Repurposing that spreads one unsupported assertion across seven channels multiplies risk rather than saving work.

Can you rely on RankIQ's traffic study and testimonials?

The current page cites a one-year comparison of 2,363 Mediavine blogs and says RankIQ users increased Google traffic 468% more than non-users. The public page reviewed did not provide enough underlying data to establish cohort comparability, selection, publishing volume, baseline traffic, confounders or causal effect.

The testimonials page contains many ranking, traffic and support anecdotes. They can reveal possible workflows and questions to test. They cannot establish what a new buyer will achieve. Publishers who choose a paid SEO tool may already produce more content, update more often or operate stronger sites.

BenPicks therefore records these as vendor evidence and excludes them from the verdict. The relevant outcome is local: did the tool improve opportunity selection and reduce verified editorial work in your retained sample?

What are the output-rights and data boundaries?

RankIQ's terms say data obtained through the service cannot be shared on another website or through other means and that service content is not transferred to the subscriber. That restriction matters for agencies, client reporting, public case studies and automated exports. Clarify which keyword reports, recommendations or screenshots may be reused before building them into a deliverable.

The reviewed public terms did not clearly allocate ownership and commercial-use rights for customer-authored drafts or Aided-generated outputs. Ask for that distinction in writing: vendor database content, customer input, generated output and a customer's final edited article are not the same asset.

RankIQ's privacy policy identifies Gailleon, LLC as controller and describes account, device, usage, cookie, analytics, payment, marketing and cross-border processing. Retention is purpose-based rather than numeric. Aided's privacy page covers account/payment and usage data plus general access, update and deletion rights, but it does not map prompts and generated content across the advertised LLM providers.

Before using confidential client material, obtain the current provider/subprocessor list, prompt and output retention, model-training position, deletion and backup lifecycle, processing regions and security documentation. Public SOC or ISO evidence, SSO/SCIM, audit logs and incident commitments were not established in this review.

Who should shortlist RankIQ plus Aided?

Shortlist the bundle when the recurring job is choosing blog topics, building source-led drafts and refreshing old posts; a small team values guided simplicity; and editors will independently validate every recommendation and generated claim. At the current advertised price, a controlled month can be inexpensive if it replaces real research or repurposing work.

Look elsewhere when the primary need is technical crawling, rank tracking at enterprise scale, API automation, complex roles, client-level controls or procurement-grade assurance. A larger SEO platform may be less convenient for a solo blogger but more appropriate when governance and integration are the buying job.

A fail-closed RankIQ and Aided pilot

  1. Save the checkout offer, billing cadence, renewal price, taxes, included products and cancellation terms.
  2. Select 50 current library keywords across relevant niches; record age, intent and live SERP composition.
  3. Compare ten RankIQ-selected opportunities with ten controls in a blind editorial review.
  4. Run five new and five decaying posts through the optimizer; preserve every recommendation and rejection.
  5. Grade whether suggested terms and questions improve the visitor's decision, not merely the optimization score.
  6. Generate five Aided packages from retained source sets; blind-grade factual survival, omissions and brand fit.
  7. Test each advertised LLM needed by the team; record exact model labels, context behavior, speed and constraints.
  8. Verify brand-voice and repurposing outputs with deliberately difficult names, numbers, exceptions and citations.
  9. Reconcile reports, generations and any fair-use messages against the written entitlement.
  10. Test exports for keyword research, briefs, prompts, drafts and brand assets before creating production dependency.
  11. Request written output-rights, AI-provider/training, retention/deletion, subprocessors and security answers.
  12. Cancel a test workspace and verify access, data deletion and retained exports rather than assuming “cancel anytime” defines the exit.

Pass only when curated opportunities survive blind SERP review, optimizer changes improve a retained set, Aided reduces total verified work, commercial rights fit the intended publishing model and unresolved data controls do not conflict with policy. The bundle price is useful only after both halves pass their own test.
