Glean does not publish a simple self-serve price suitable for a durable estimate. The cost model should include licensed employees, connector or implementation services, identity integration, content cleanup, administration and ongoing relevance tuning.
Build the business case around avoidable search time, but discount optimistic assumptions. If 500 employees each save a claimed ten minutes per week, that is 5,000 minutes. The trial must show how much of that saving survives task observation—not rely on survey enthusiasm alone.
Create six test identities: a general employee, manager, contractor, HR user, finance user and administrator. Select 60 known documents across public, team-only, role-restricted and revoked-access conditions. Include duplicates, stale versions and files whose title contains sensitive terms.

A single restricted snippet shown to the wrong identity is a stop condition, not a minor relevance issue.
“Supports Salesforce” or “supports Google Drive” is not enough. List the repositories, object types, attachments, comments, archived content, permission models and refresh intervals required. Assign an owner to each source. Search quality will degrade when the index contains conflicting policies and nobody can retire the obsolete one.
